Open Source Contribution Workshops
Lead a hands-on coding or design session | 45–60 minutes (focused on a specific Bitcoin stack or language).

Technical Talks
Present a concise, high-signal talk on an exciting Bitcoin innovation or tool | 15–20 min lightning talk + 5 min reflection on local relevance (how this innovation could matter in the African context or how developers here can contribute).

Expert Panel
Join a curated discussion on topics shaping Bitcoin and open-source work in Africa and globally | 30–40 minutes

Live Product Demos / Showcases
Walk us through the real story of your Bitcoin product, protocol, or tool (your architecture), stack choices, pain points, workarounds, and what's next | 10–15 min project walkthrough + Q&A

Developer Connect (non-stage)
Share your project, repo, or open-source work at a casual, interactive booth (no stage required). Attendees can explore and engage with your work directly.
Selection Criteria
Talks and workshops will be rated as Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced in the program, so don’t worry if your idea isn’t super “deep”, we want a healthy mix to support developers at all levels. Speakers will be selected based on:

Clarity of topic and relevance to Bitcoin or Lightning dev.

Diversity of experience and background.

Contribution to African or Global South perspectives.

Openness to sharing code, insight, and real takeaways.

Selected speakers will receive the following
Access to Btrust Developer Day, with limited Africa Bitcoin Conference tickets available for up to 5 Global South speakers not already invited by ABC.

Evaluation Process:
Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
First Batch:
Submissions between July 24 and August 31 will receive confirmation in September.
Second Batch:
Submissions between September 1 and October 15 will receive confirmation in November
